Description
Buddhist Disorder Overlocked T-Shirt by Disorder. We make this t-shirt from the highest quality 100% organic ring-sun combed cotton. It is a unique one-off garment which we customise with black overlocking, Disorder artwork and a Zen badge. Disorders’ designs are a fusion of Buddhist mythology, Japanese manga and futuristic Bladerunner Punk.
The origins of this t-shirt design, began with a trip to the serene Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar….. and a sketch of the twin Chindith Temple Guardians. They stand resolutely outside every Buddhist pagoda, throughout Burma. They protect the temple and visitors from evil spirits. Also, the name ‘Chindits’ references the Allied soldiers that fought the Japanese in Burma during WW2. These soldiers were so taken by these serene but scary Buddhist Temple Guardians, they use their name and image on their badges.
The Buddhist Disorder Overlocked T-Shirt
A slow fashion product. We make this garment to order. This helps reduce unnecessary clothing waste, as we only make what is needed. This means it does take us a little longer to get the garment to you, but makes it all the more special when you receive it.
Disorder is a slow fashion brand.
This means we don’t compromise our design principles and environmental ideas, when we make our clothing. Disorder ideologically rejects fast fashion and its disposable attitude towards clothing and the environment. It is important to value the clothing we design and make. We design our clothing to last, which you will wear and love. Over and over again.
All of the Disorder’s apparel range is printed by our award winning team in Birmingham, England. Disorder use local suppliers as often as we can, because we believe in reinvesting in our community. We only use water soluble inks, that are certified non toxic and therefore don’t damage the environment. Disorder is always trying to improve the quality of our designs and reduce their environmental impact.
