The Patchwork Cotton Canvas Trench Coat by Disorder. We make this coat from the finest quality British cotton canvas fabric and the lining is water proof cotton. Disorder’s team of expert tailors handcraft this coat in our Birmingham, UK studio. This Trench Coat is wind and shower proof, perfect for whatever the British weather throws at you.
Disorder design and make all our men’s coats in house. Once you place your order for the Patchwork Canvas Trench Coat, we will hand make it to your requirements. Each coat is unique, as we patch the fabric by hand using the off cuts from previous production. This takes our team longer to make the jacket, but I think you will agree the results are worth it.
Furthermore by recycling post production fabric, it allows us to significantly reduce clothing waste and is inline with our sustainable ethos. Expect to wait a week or so to allow the team to cut and handmake your coat, especially for you. It is certainly worth the wait! Want it bespoke, send us your measurements and we will even make it to your unique specifications.
We like to describe our menswear designs as ‘Fashion Forward Future Classic’,
with an Italian cut, Oriental Styling, and a British twist. The Trench Coats design is timeless never in or out of fashion, it stands alone in its own right. Disorders design all our clothing with these principles in mind and the Black/Green Wax Trench Coat is no exception. It is stylish yet versatile, which you can wear in a number of different ways. You can wear the collar up or fold down, alternatively button it across or break it down to give a distinctly different looks. This flexibility allows you to feel comfortable wearing it to a number of different occasions, smart or casual. However, each time it will make you feel special and unique, standing out from the crowd.
established in Birmingham in 1998, with sustainability at our core. In order, ensure our customers receive a high quality, unique ‘slow fashion’ garment Disorder has created their own vertically integrated, sustainable, fashion ecosystem. This allows us to have our garments fully traceable. Therefore, giving our customers confidence, their Disorder garment will be made in the most ethical way. Ethical standards are upheld along the whole of the supply chain.
Disorder make as many of our garments in house as possible, in our own Birmingham micro factory. Where we have to use an external supplier, we insist they are certified sustainable and organic. We insist our suppliers have the necessary accreditations from independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications demonstrate that they are working towards building healthy environmental practices and greater respect for the planet, every step of the way.
Slow fashion is the opposite to fast fashion and part of the “slow movement“. Slow fashion advocates for manufacturing in respect to people, environment and animals. As such, contrary to industrial fashion practices. Slow fashion involves local artisans and the use of eco-friendly materials. Therefore, its goal is to preserve crafts, the environment and ultimately, provide value to both consumers and producers.
